What does it mean to be compliant?
Compliance to a recognized standard (ISO, USP, or otherwise) demonstrates
to industry a willingness to conform to current best business practices.
The Quality Manual compiles the elements (usually) already in
place within a company into a comprehensible and presentable document.

What is ISO 17025?
ISO/IEC 17025:2000 replaces ISO/IEC Guide 25:1990 & EN 45001:1989 as the contemporary
standard to be adhered to by all testing & calibration laboratories.
It integrates the requirements of ISO 9001 & 9002(1994) & embodies the extensive
experience gained over a time span of 10 years of lab systems implementation.
The new standard not only contains specifications for quality systems requirements but
also those based on technical competency & the ability to generate technically valid results.

What services comes with the ILAA Basic Package?
After completing our Basic Package online process, ILAA
will deliver to your company:
- A custom Quality Manual that mirrors and complies with the ISO 17025 Standard.
- One uncertainty calculation specific to your business model.
- The Accreditation Certificate.
- A Scope of Accreditation.

Will you need to come on-site?
Except in rare cases, our innovative on-line application process should eliminate on-site auditing.
ILAA strives to be as unobtrusive as possible to your daily operations.

How long will a typical audit last?
In our experience, most audits should be completed within 90 days after all necessary documentation has
been submitted. Of course, larger labs/businesses may require additional time.

When is our Certificate of compliance issued?
Within 90 days of submission of the questionnaires and our review of the questionnaires and supporting documentation.

Can I download and preview your questionnaire and list of required documents before paying?
Absolutely! The questionnaire and list of required documents are in Microsoft
® Excel
® spreadsheet format (*.xls)

My computer doesn't have Word installed! What now?
If you don't have Word installed on your computer,
Microsoft
® provides a
free Word viewer available
for download on their Web site. For your convenience, here's the link:

ILAA does not support installation or operation of the viewer. Please review the viewer's System Requirements before installing.

What does ILAA charge for its services?
The ILAA Basic Package will include a quality manual, one applicable uncertainty calculation,
and a certificate of compliance at a cost of $2,750.00 USD.
Other services are available at an additional cost.

Can required and supporting documentation be sent via email?
Due to the various forms (pictures, certificates, lists) this documentation represents,
email should not be used to transport the material to us. Please send all supporting and
required documentation to the address in our
Contact page.

How long is the accreditation valid?
Two years. If changes occur within an organization ILAA expects that organization to inform
ILAA, so appropriate modifications can be made to their quality manual or scope. This would
be to the company's own benefit.

How will you do uncertainty analysis not knowing the client's calibration process?
ILAA does require documentation be sent to us regarding the process. If the documentation
collected via the website questionnaire is not sufficient, ILAA will call the client to ensure
the uncertainty analysis properly reflects the client's process

How do I start the accreditation process?
To begin the accreditation process, use the
5 Steps to Accreditation. You will then be guided through the steps for
- customer registration,
- agreement acceptance,
- acquisition of your company profile,
- application payment and issuance of your invoice,
- completion and submission of the Accreditation and Survey Questionnaire,
- identification and submission of required documentation, and
- final payment instructions.
