Rating System

The rating system evaluates both the compliance to the paper trail of 17025 and the overall technical competence of the laboratory under review.

The rating system is based on a total of 1000 points, with greater emphasis on the technical competence. Upon completion of all the requirements a laboratory may receive as much as 400 points. To obtain a higher rating all appropriate materials must be submitted to ILAA for review and assessment.

There is no additional charge for the review process, so it is in the best interest of the laboratory under review to submit all the appropriate documentation.
